• Data Entry Operator (DEO):

Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100) and Level-5 (Rs. 29,200-92,300).

• Data Entry Operator, Grade ‘A’:

Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500-81,100).

The Grade Pay system, which was prevalent in the previous pay structure, has been replaced by the Pay Level system under the 7th Central Pay Commission

UPSC Examination 2024

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is one of the most-reputed types of government exams in India and it is set to conduct the National Defence Academy (NDA) and Naval Academy (NA) Examination (I) on April 21, 2024. This examination is the gateway for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 153rd Course and the 115th Indian Naval Academy Course (INAC) starting from January 2, 2025. The tentative vacancies include 208 for the Army, 42 for the Navy, 92 for Flying (Air Force), 18 for Ground Duties (Tech), 10 for Ground Duties (Non-Tech), and 30 for the Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme), totaling 400. These vacancies are provisional and subject to change based on the training capacity of the National Defence Academy and Indian Naval Academy.

Whereas, the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (I), also scheduled for April 21, 2024, by UPSC, aims to admit candidates into various defense courses. The approximate vacancies for different courses are as follows:

• Indian Military Academy, Dehradun - 100 (158th Course)
• Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala - 32 (Commencing in January 2025)
• Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) - 32 (Training Course commencing in January 2025)
• Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Men) - 275 (121st SSC Course commencing in April 2025)
• Officers Training Academy, Chennai (Women) - 18 (35th SSC Course commencing in April 2025)

Indian Navy 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme July 2024

The Indian Navy's 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) for the course commencing from July 2024 offers a gateway for unmarried male and female candidates to join the esteemed Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala. This four-year B.Tech degree course is designed for the Executive and Technical branches, providing a unique opportunity for young aspirants. With 35 vacancies, including a provision for women, candidates born between January 2, 2005, and July 1, 2007, are eligible.

Educational qualifications include a minimum of 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English at the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or equivalent. Applicants must have appeared for the JEE (Main) - 2023 exam, and selection is based on the JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) - 2023.

The selection process involves shortlisting based on the JEE (Main) CRL, followed by SSB interviews scheduled at various locations.
