A Flight Instructor is a person who teaches others to operate an aircraft. Moreover, a flight instructor provides assistance to enhance the grasp and understanding level of an aviator, while hounding for a higher pilot’s license. A person having Flight Instructor Certificate is authorized to give training and endorsements to students, private, commercial or other pilot certificates. In India, there are three grades for Flight Instructors which are Assistant Pilot Instructor, Pilot Instructor and Pilot Instructor in Charge. Furthermore, they are responsible for preflight preparations, procedures as well as making sure that technically the plane is safe to fly.

Eligibility

For Bachelor’s

  • Seekers must pass 10+2 with at least 50% marks. 
  • Every aspirant should have obtained a Bachelor's degree in B.Sc Aviation, B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering or any other related field with at least 60% marks.

For Diploma

  • Candidates have to pass class 12 with at least 50% marks and can opt for diploma course in B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering or any other field, the duration of a diploma ranges between 6 months to 3 years. One must pass entrance exams like JEE Mains, JEE Advanced. etcetera.
