About

Forensic experts are professionals who apply scientific methods and principles to the analysis of physical evidence in order to help solve crimes or settle legal disputes. They are typically trained in a specific area of expertise such as forensic pathology, forensic chemistry, forensic biology, forensic anthropology or digital forensics.

Forensic experts use a range of scientific techniques to analyse physical evidence such as DNA, fingerprints, blood, hair and fibres. They also use tools such as microscopes, chemical reagents and computer software to help them interpret their findings.
