About

A Tour Coordinator is a professional who is responsible for organizing and coordinating various aspects of travel arrangements for individuals or groups. This includes planning and booking transportation, accommodations, activities as well as ensuring the safety and satisfaction of the travelers. A Tour Coordinator works in a variety of settings including travel agencies, tour operators and hotels.

The main responsibilities of a Tour Coordinator includes researching and selecting travel destinations, preparing itineraries, making transportation and accommodation bookings, arranging for tour guides, coordinating with local vendors and suppliers. Moreover, they are also responsible for managing the budget for the tour and ensuring that all necessary travel documents and insurance are in place. 

 

Eligibility

For Bachelor’s

  • Aspirants need to pass 10+2 class with at least 50% marks from any recognised board.
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) or hospitality management is a great option for students.
  • Some colleges/universities give admission to students on the basis of clearance of entrance exam such as CAT, GMAT, MAT or XAT for PG Program. 

For Master’s

  • A master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or hospitality management is a well-suited option for students.

For Work Experience

  • At least a year of work experience is needed in the travel or hotel industry.
