An urban planner is a professional who works to develop and implement plans and policies related to the use of land and resources in urban as well as suburban areas. Urban planners are responsible for creating and managing sustainable communities, designing transportation systems, managing public spaces and ensuring that the land use is compatible with environmental, economic and social goals. 

They research and analyze data related to demographics, land use patterns, transportation, environmental impacts and other factors that affect urban development. Eligibility

For Bachelor’s

  • Students need to pass 10+2 and acquire at least 50% marks in science stream from any recognised board. 
  • Aspirants can opt for a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Planning or any other related field.   
  • To get admission in an UG Program, candidates need to clear NATA or JEE Mains. 

For Masters

  • Scholars can opt for Master’s in Urban or Regional Planning. 
  • After the completion of PG Course, students can apply for jobs.
