Admission

The admission procedure at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Hyderabad is based on the candidate's performance in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and JEE Advanced examinations, which are conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), respectively.

Here is a step-by-step guide to the admission procedure at IIT Hyderabad:

  • Eligibility: Candidates must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects. They must have also scored a minimum of 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) or be in the top 20 percentile in their respective board examinations.
  • JEE Main: Candidates need to appear and qualify for the JEE Main examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The JEE Main exam is conducted twice a year in January and April.
  • JEE Advanced: Candidates who qualify for the JEE Main examination are eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced examination, which is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) for admission in their undergraduate programs.
