Eligibility

Candidates from across India can appear for the COMEDK UGET 2025 entrance examination, provided they meet the following eligibility criteria:

For UG Engineering Courses:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the second PUC (Pre-University Course) or 10+2 Higher Secondary or equivalent examination recognized by the State/Central Government. The last two years of study should include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with English as a compulsory subject.
  • Minimum Marks: General Merit candidates need a minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% for SC, ST, and OBC candidates of Karnataka State) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and must pass these subjects individually. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects, along with one of the following as an optional subject: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Biology, Computer Science, or Electronics. Any changes in eligibility criteria by AICTE/VTU will be adopted.
  • Entrance Test Attempt: Participating in the COMEDK Entrance Test is necessary to appear in the rank list, but candidates scoring zero marks will not be assigned any rank.
  • Diploma Candidates: Diploma holders are not eligible as there are no lateral entry admissions.

For UG Architecture Courses:

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the second PUC or 10+2 examination.
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates need at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC, ST, and OBC candidates of Karnataka) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as 50% aggregate marks in the 10+2 examination or 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics as a compulsory subject.
  • Aptitude Test: All candidates must pass the aptitude test in architecture conducted by NTA (JEE) or NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) by the Council of Architecture. Scores from other aptitude tests are not accepted.
  • Application Process: Candidates must submit a separate application for counseling. Those interested only in the Architecture course need not fill out the online application for the Engineering entrance exam.
  • No COMEDK Test for Architecture: There is no entrance test conducted by COMEDK for the Architecture course.

Changes in eligibility criteria by regulatory authorities like AICTE, VTU, or the Council of Architecture before rank generation will be adopted. Rank cards are generated only for eligible candidates as per AICTE/VTU regulations
