The Indian Air Force (IAF) published the detailed notification for the AFCAT exam 2024 for second phase on May 30, 2024, following the release of a short notification on May 20, 2024. The application form for AFCAT 2 2024 is available from May 30 to June 28, 2024. The AFCAT 2 2024 exam is scheduled to take place on August 9, 10, and 11, 2024.

What is AFCAT?

The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is a competitive examination conducted by the Indian Air Force for the selection of officers in various branches such as Flying, Ground Duty (Technical), and Ground Duty (Non-Technical). Held twice a year, typically in February and August, AFCAT is open to both male and female candidates who meet specific educational and age criteria. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions covering subjects like General Awareness, Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning and Military Aptitude. 

In addition to the written test, candidates applying for the Flying Branch must also pass the Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS). • Register for the exam by entering your basic details.
• After registration, fill in your personal information, educational qualifications, course preferences, contact information, upload the necessary documents, sign the declaration, and select your preferred exam city.
• Proceed to pay the application fee.

AFCAT 2 Eligibility Criteria 2024

• Candidates applying for the Flying Branch should be between 20 and 24 years old.
• The age limit for candidates applying to the Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches is between 20 and 26 years.
• The basic educational qualification required is graduation, though specific requirements vary by department and branch.
