The CTET exam 2024 is scheduled for July 7, 2024. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the CTET July 2024 exam in two shifts for Paper 1 and Paper 2. According to the official notification, there has been a change in the CTET exam schedule for 2024. Paper 1 will now be held in Shift 2 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm, while Paper 2 will take place in Shift 1 from 9:30 am to 12 noon. The specific exam timings will be indicated on the candidates' respective admit cards. The CTET admit card 2024 is expected to be released on July 5, 2024, two days before the exam. Prior to this, a pre-admit card will be issued to inform candidates of their allotted exam city.

About CTET

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national-level exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India. It is designed to qualify candidates for teaching positions in primary (classes I to V) and upper primary (classes VI to VIII) schools. The exam, held twice a year in July and December, ensures that teachers meet the quality benchmarks and standards set by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). CTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

For teaching Classes 6-8, candidates should have a graduation degree and have completed or be in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or meet other specified criteria such as having a BEd degree with certain marks, or completing specified courses.

CTET 2024 Syllabus

The CTET syllabus for 2024, set by the CBSE, encompasses various sections from which exam questions are drawn. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 cover Child Development & Pedagogy, though the focus and difficulty level of questions differ. Additionally, Paper 1 includes Environmental Studies and Mathematics sections, while Paper 2 incorporates Social Studies and Science. Both papers also feature Language sections, with varying question types. It's essential for candidates to thoroughly review the syllabus to grasp the key topics and nuances of each section.

CTET 2024 Exam Pattern

The examination for teaching positions comprises two papers. Paper I includes subjects like Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies. Paper II includes similar subjects with the addition of Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Science. Both papers have a duration of 2.5 hours, with 150 multiple-choice questions each. The marking scheme awards +1 for correct answers and 0 for incorrect ones, with the papers available in both English and Hindi.

The CTET pre-admit card for 2024 will be available approximately 10 days before the exam on the official CBSE CTET website, ctet.nic.in. To download the pre-admit card and know your allotted exam city, follow these steps:

2. Click on the link labeled 'View Centre City for CTET July 2024.'
3. Enter your login details, including your application number and date of birth.
4. Verify the assigned CTET exam centre city for 2024.
