CTET Exam 2024: Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Eligibility & Admit Card

The CTET exam 2024 is scheduled for July 7, 2024. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the CTET July 2024 exam in two shifts for Paper 1 and Paper 2. According to the official notification, there has been a change in the CTET exam schedule for 2024. Paper 1 will now be held in Shift 2 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm, while Paper 2 will take place in Shift 1 from 9:30 am to 12 noon. The specific exam timings will be indicated on the candidates' respective admit cards. The CTET admit card 2024 is expected to be released on July 5, 2024, two days before the exam. Prior to this, a pre-admit card will be issued to inform candidates of their allotted exam city.

The CTET application form 2024 was available from March 7, 2024, to April 5, 2024. The form correction window was open from April 8 to 12, 2024. The official CTET notification 2024 PDF was released on March 7, 2024, on the official website - ctet.nic.in.

About CTET

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national-level exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in India. It is designed to qualify candidates for teaching positions in primary (classes I to V) and upper primary (classes VI to VIII) schools. CTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the CTET exam for teaching Classes 1-5, candidates must have a Senior Secondary or equivalent qualification with at least 50% marks and have completed or be in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or meet other specified criteria including Bachelor's degree with BEd.

For teaching Classes 6-8, candidates should have a graduation degree and have completed or be in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or meet other specified criteria such as having a BEd degree with certain marks, or completing specified courses.

CTET 2024 Syllabus

The CTET syllabus for 2024, set by the CBSE, encompasses various sections from which exam questions are drawn. Both Paper 1 and Paper 2 cover Child Development & Pedagogy, though the focus and difficulty level of questions differ. Additionally, Paper 1 includes Environmental Studies and Mathematics sections, while Paper 2 incorporates Social Studies and Science. CTET 2024 Exam Pattern
