CUET UG Exam 2025: Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the CUET UG 2025 exam, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This includes educational qualifications, age requirements, and nationality criteria.

Educational Qualification

Students must have passed Class 12 from a recognized board in Science or a relevant stream to be eligible for admission to bachelor's degree programs in Central Universities. Those who are currently in Class 12 and are yet to appear for their board exams can also apply for CUET 2025.

Age Limit

There is no age limit to appear for the CUET 2025 exam. However, candidates must check the age criteria (if applicable) of the university or institution where they wish to seek admission.

Nationality Criteria

To be eligible for CUET 2025, candidates must meet one of the following nationality requirements:

Must be an Indian citizen.

  • A citizen of Nepal or Bhutan.
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 1, 1962, with the intention of settling permanently.
  • Individuals from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam who have permanently moved to India.

  • Enter personal details, contact information, and address
  • Receive login credentials via email and SMS
  • Fill in details like name, DOB, gender, nationality, identity proof, address, contact details, and security credentials
  • Verify details, enter OTP, and complete registration
  • Step 2: Application Form
  • Personal Details: Confirm PwBD status, parent’s qualification/occupation, family income, domicile, residence, mode of preparation, and quota details
  • Education Details: Enter Class 10 & 12 board, passing year, marks, result mode, and school details.

CUET UG Exam 2025: Exam Pattern

The exam consists of four sections:

  • Section 1A (Compulsory): Includes 13 languages, and candidates can choose their preferred language.
  • Section 1B (Optional): For students who wish to opt for an additional language, such as French, Arabic, or German.
  • General Test: Covers reasoning, general knowledge, and numerical ability.
  • Domain-Specific Subjects: Includes subjects related to the candidate’s chosen field of study.

Marking Scheme:

  • Each question carries 5 marks.
  • 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

CUET UG Exam 2025: Syllabus

The CUET UG 2025 exam consists of three main sections, each assessing different skills:

  • Section I – Language: Focuses on reading comprehension with factual, literary, and narrative passages, along with literary aptitude and vocabulary.
  • Section II – Domain Subjects: Covers subject-specific topics based on the Class 12 Board syllabus.
  • Section III – General Test: Includes General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (basic mathematical concepts from Grade 8), and Logical & Analytical Reasoning.

CUET UG Exam 2025: Admit Card

The CUET 2025 admit card will be available online at cuet.nta.nic.in. It will be released 2 to 3 days before the exam date. To download it, candidates need to log in using their CUET credentials on the official website.

Before the admit card is released, NTA will issue a CUET intimation slip in May 2025, which provides details about the exam city. However, this intimation slip is not the admit card and cannot be used to enter the exam hall.

The CUET 2025 admit card will contain important details like the exam centre, date, time, and subjects. Candidates must carry it to the exam centre, as entry will not be allowed without it. Students should also carefully read all the instructions mentioned on the hall ticket.

Follow these steps to download your CUET 2025 admit card:

  • Visit the Official Website: Go to cuetug.ntaonline.in and click on "Download CUET Admit Card."
  • Enter Login Details: Provide your Application ID, Password or Date of Birth, and Security Pin.
  • View Admit Card: Once logged in, your admit card will appear on the screen.
  • Download & Print: Download the admit card and take a printout for the exam.

Candidates must carry the printed admit card to their CUET exam centre, as it is mandatory for entry.

CUET UG Exam 2025: Result

The CUET UG 2025 result date is currently tentative and has not been officially announced. The CUET UG official website will release the result date after the exam is conducted.
