The application process will be open until September 29, 2023, without any additional late fees. However, if applicants need more time, they can still apply by October 13, 2023, by paying a late fee. This extended deadline allows candidates to submit their applications with a bit of extra time.

Steps to Login or GATE 2024 Registration
Step 1: Visit the official website https://gate2024.iisc.ac.in/
Step 2: Click on ‘GATE 2024 ONLINE APPLICATION PROCESSING SYSTEM (GOAPS) IS NOW OPEN’ or ‘Login’ button.
Step 3: A new tab will open. Scroll down and click on ‘Register Here’.
(Note: If candidates already have an existing ID, then click on the ‘Login’ button. If not, then click on ‘Register Here’.)
Step 4: Another tab will open, showing the online registration form. Fill it out with the required credentials (Name, email address, mobile number and password)
Step 5: An One-Time Password (OTP) will be generated and sent to the mobile number for verification.
Step 6: Click on Submit.
Step 7: Once the confirmation for submitting the GATE form is done, an email and SMS will be sent containing the enrollment ID. This ID will be important for future logins.

About GATE
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a nationally conducted examination in India that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science. GATE is jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
Purpose
GATE serves multiple purposes. It is used as a qualifying examination for admission to postgraduate programs (Master's and PhD) in various Indian universities and institutes, including IITs and IISc. The GATE 2024 Exam Date has been revealed on the official GATE 2024 website, gate2024.iisc.ac.in. This year's Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) will cover 30 different branches of Engineering and Science. The GATE 2024 Exam is anticipated to take place on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024. The exam will be held in both morning and afternoon sessions.
