In 2023, IIM Ahmedabad achieved remarkable success in its final placements, registering an impressive average and highest salary package. Major companies have participated in this process and various job opportunities have been provided to the students in different sectors.

IIM Ahmedabad Placements 2023: IIM Ahmedabad achieved exceptional results in its 2023 placements, boasting an impressive average salary package of INR 34.3 LPA, with the highest package reaching a record-breaking INR 1.15 CPA. The final placement process for the MBA class of 2023 in the Post Graduate Programme was successfully conducted during the months of January-February in 2023. Although the official website is yet to publish the final placement statistics report, the institute's accomplishments are remarkable. 

During the final placements, companies from diverse industries participated, with the recruitment process being divided into three clusters. All students found successful placements across 23 different groups or categories. As per IIM Ahmedabad Placement Report 2023, a total of 188 firms participated offering approximately 280 job roles, including Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs). Notably, McKinsey & Company and Boston Consulting Group emerged as significant contributors, making the majority of on-campus job offers within their respective cohorts.

Moving on to the summer placements for the 2022-24 batch at IIM Ahmedabad's Cluster 3, they were completed on November 7. A total of 35 firms participated in these placements, seeking to hire students from diverse sectors such as BFSI, Consumer Technology, EdTech, IT Consulting & Analytics, and others. TCS stood out as the leading recruiter, extending 11 job offers to the students.

Furthermore, the placement process in 2023 at IIM Ahmedabad was conducted in two stages. These two stages are explained as given below: 

1. Summer Placements: These were conducted from October to November for the first-year students to undergo internships and gain industrial experience.
2. Lateral Placement: This stage involved recruiters interviewing students who had prior work experience. It was mostly conducted one or two months before the final placement, from January to February.
3. Final Placement: This was the second stage, where companies were mainly grouped into cohorts including general management, IT consulting, Asset Management, and more. During this placement, a maximum of the students were recruited. 

Final Placement Process in Detail 

The Final Placement Process at IIM Ahmedabad happened in several stages, each contributing to the successful placement of the MBA Class of 2023. The process was designed to ensure that all students found suitable job placements based on their skills, interests, and career aspirations.

Stage 1: Laterals Process

The first stage of the placement process was the Laterals process. During this phase, firms interviewed students with prior work experience and offered them mid-level managerial positions. A total of 36 firms participated in this stage, representing diverse sectors such as technology, banking, finance, consulting, analytics, and more. 

Stage 2: Finals

In the second stage, known as the Finals, the firms were further divided into cohorts based on their core business areas. Groups of cohorts were then invited to the campus across different clusters to conduct the placement process.

The Final Job Offers were extended to the selected candidates after a rigorous interview process. These offers included details about the job positions, salary packages, and other benefits, enabling the students to embark on their professional journeys with confidence.
