NDA Exam Eligibility 2025
The NDA age limit varies for different sessions of the exam. For the NDA 1 exam, both male and female candidates must be born between July 2, 2006, and July 1, 2009, while for the NDA 2 exam, unmarried male and female candidates born between January 2, 2006, and January 1, 2009, are eligible. The age limit for women candidates is the same as for men, requiring them to be unmarried and born between July 2, 2005, and July 1, 2008. Additionally, all candidates must be physically fit to undertake the responsibilities associated with training.
Unmarried male and female candidates are eligible to apply for the NDA exam. In 2021, the Supreme Court ruled that women could join the National Defence Academy, paving the way for the first batch of women candidates to appear in the NDA 2 exam.
The educational qualifications differ based on the academy. Candidates applying for the Army Wing of the National Defence Academy must have passed Class 12 or its equivalent from a recognized board or university.
