XAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria
XAT 2025 Syllabus
The XAT 2025 syllabus is designed to cover a comprehensive range of topics across four main sections, ensuring that candidates are well-prepared for the examination. The sections include Verbal & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, General Knowledge, and the unique Decision Making section.
The Decision Making section of the XAT exam is distinctive in that it does not have a predefined syllabus. Instead, it presents candidates with scenarios drawn from both personal and professional contexts. To excel in this section, candidates must apply critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and prioritization to make informed decisions. Practicing with previous years' question papers and sample test papers will be crucial for mastering this component.
In the Verbal & Logical Ability section, candidates will encounter various topics, including Critical and Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, English Grammar, Vocabulary, Parajumbles, and Cloze Tests. This section assesses a candidate’s language proficiency and logical reasoning capabilities, which are essential skills for management studies.
The Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation section focuses on fundamental mathematical concepts. Key topics include Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, and Modern Mathematics. Candidates are expected to demonstrate their quantitative skills and ability to interpret data accurately, as these skills are vital in managerial decision-making.
Lastly, the General Knowledge section encompasses a wide array of topics, including politics, culture, society, notable personalities, business, art & entertainment, sports, inventions, innovations, world affairs, the economy, and science & technology. Staying updated with current events and general knowledge will help candidates perform well in this section, as it tests their awareness of the world around them.
XAT 2025 Exam Pattern
The XAT exam pattern has changed this year. There will be no essay writing section, and the General Knowledge section will consist of only 20 questions. The total exam time will be 180 minutes. These changes were announced when the exam schedule was released.
